Now that our NYC trip is over and I’m looking over all the photos, this stroll through Central Park is definitely one of my favorite moments of the whole vacation. After running around the city all day, with its noise and crazy pace, we accidentally ended up in the park after trying to get into the Jeff Koons exhibit, only to find it closed on Mondays. But it’s true what they say – ‘Everything happens for a reason’, because a stroll through this absolutely beautiful park with its vast greenery and amazing views, on the arm of my guy, is what I needed most. I have been living in distressed denim the whole summer and these little shorts have been getting a lot of wear. I wanted to pair them with something that would be comfortable all day and work both in the summer heat of NY and also inside the way overly air-conditioned stores and restaurants we would visit. You can’t go wrong with a faux fur vest for that! And this Cynthia Rowley tunic is so versatile; it’s definitely been a staple in my closet for the past few months. I’m realizing as I write this, that the entire outfit came from Marshall’s. Who says you can’t be on trend and on a budget? Here are a few similar picks for this bohemian look.
