Paris had been at the very top of my travel destination list for as long as I can remember, so when my company asked me if I would like to attend our International Meetings in Reims (where it is based), I wanted to write “YEEEEEEES!” in all caps. Instead I giddily turned to Eric and asked if he would like to meet me in Paris and have the most Romantic time of our lives, after my meetings were finished.

We have both been googling and Pinteresting (ok that one’s just me!) like crazy to try to find all of the ‘must do and must see’ in Paris. I think the anticipation and the excitement of a big trip like that is sometimes just as much fun as the trip itself. I’m staying up even later than my 12am usual at night, planning outfits, browsing through “Parisian street style” inspiration photos. I just can’t get enough of it!

If you’ve been to Paris, I’d love to hear any tips and suggestions you guys might have! We’ve got all the big stuff covered like seeing The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, tea at the Ritz etc. But I’d also love to learn about things you might only discover if you’ve experienced Paris yourself. The little gems that you stumble on, the best café you didn’t expect to be amazing because you just ran in there to hide from the rain. That’s the type of adventure I am looking forward to the most. Getting lost in Paris with my hubby/best friend.

We are both feeling the pangs of parent guilt though, because this will be by far the farthest distance we have ever been away from the girls. The last trip like this we took was long before we had kids, so it was a totally different experience. We’ve spent a lot of time going back and forth on the final decision and decided in the end that for us to get away together, have some time to spend alone and reconnect, will be better for our whole family in the long run. I’m still having a hard time with that part of it, but hoping the positive will outweigh the negative. Plus we are lucky to have my parents living super close to us, and they are beyond amazing with the girls!

So, on that note, get ready to see a whole lot of Paris inspo coming up in the next few weeks as I gear up for the trip. And of course, we will be shooting a TON of content while there. (some really exciting collaborations I can’t wait to share!). Hope you’ll follow along all of our adventures!
