Two Ways to Style Winter Pastels
Pastel hues are my favorite, so I always translate these to my winter wardrobe. With everyone breaking out their browns and greys and head to toe black, it may feel unnatural to wear pastels in the winter, but I hope you will venture to the feminine side with me with these easy styling tips.
1) Mix textures and fabrics to create depth to your look. I style my spring pastel dresses with a long sleeve top under them and layering an outerwear piece like this lace trench on top. The rule of thumb for me is, the more layers the better!
2) Faux fur and lots of it! This year more than ever, the faux fur trend is on fire, which means you can find an amazing pastel pieces at any price point. I love this little throw from Eliza J, and have also picked up a few blue hues (coming soon to the blog!) A faux fur vest also works great over a dress, styled with boots, as my go to fall favorite.

3) Adding booties to your pastel winter look is also one of my go to styling tips when translating your ‘not so winter’ items to the cooler temps. San Francisco has been unseasonably dry this year, so I’ve gotten away with wearing pumps and even sandals, but here are some of my favorite booties which I would love to pair with either of these two looks.
