My favorite thing about morning walks with Winnie lately has been spotting all the gorgeous cherry blossoms, starting to bloom around our neighborhood. It might still be big puffer and “get your gloves on” weather mornings over here but seeing these pops of pastel is reminding me that spring is coming. And with that, my closet is calling out to me. “Bring me all the sweet whimsical prints and girly smocking” it’s saying. Well, say no more! As requested, my closet is getting a big dose of spring goodness, because Hillhouse recently launched their Spring Drop and it overdelivers on all things girly and well made, as per usual.
If you’re not familiar with Hillhouse, they are famous for their Nap Dress, which took the IG world by storm in 2019. And with good reason. There is not another item in my closet, which I can throw on in the morning for school drop off, keep it on for running around in SF all day for meeting, and yup then wear to dinner, no matter where we are planning on going. Now that’s a GOOD DRESS. On top of that, it is somehow flattering for every body type and is truly just so so comfy. I usually throw a blazer over mine, love styling it with my golden goose sneakers for busy errand days and of course with some uber girly heels and a bejeweled headband, when it’s a date night kind of a day.
Fast forward to 2023 and Nap Dress Nation has had hit after hit with every drop having a fresh “but wait there is more!”moment, and I am always so excited to see the new prints. The latest drop has some great new style variety as well, with fashion forward pieces like The Sabrina, which I am wearing here in green vine stripe. (can’t get enough of THIS PRINT!!) It also comes in black and pink spring plaid, and let me tell you, the fit is just everything. I’ll be styling the green along with my muffins all spring and summer long and how perfect would it be for a spring/summer wedding guest look?!
Speaking of littles. How cute are the girlies in their Tiny Ellie dresses? I’m soaking in every moment of having these matchy days with them. Going to be packing these with us for spring break in Mexico. Also absolutely loving the pink vine print.
I also picked up the Louisa Nap Dress, in the wrinkle resistant ballerina pink crepe. So soft and comfy, this is my go to “dressed up at home” dress. That smocking just wears so well and you can literally just lounge around with a good book, host a friend for lunch, and then throw in a load of laundry while still feeling your ballerina pink best, and just feel like you’ve nailed the day. I highly recommend this fabric option. And by the way, how dreamy is this gorgeous packaging? Every grand millennial’s dream come true.
Keep scrolling for more of my favorites and I’d love to hear if you owe one or many Hillhouse pieces and which print you love the most! I think the Diane Hill is the next on my wish list.
