I always thought Carrie should have ended up with Aidan, not Big. He was the solid, sweet, dependable, amazing man, that I would sit around fantasizing about, while my best friend would tell me I was boring. Now, after almost 10 years of marriage, I tell Eric that he’s my “Aidan”, to which he just looks puzzled and says “um, thanks?” Looking through these photos reminded me of that for some reason. So funny how time flies and you go from talking about boys in high school to sitting across from your husband.
I dragged him out for a little brunch date the other weekend, and after some photo fun we had a quiet minute to just sit, reminisce on the year and enjoy our time together. No interruptions. Just us. Him in his Mizzen+Main shirt, which I had just gotten for the holidays. Such a great holiday gift, if you guys are looking for something for your other halves! The fit is amazing and so is the quality. Eric is 6’4 and a lot of the time has a not so easy time with fit but was very happy with both of the shirts I got and asked me to get more! Done and done and will be waiting under the tree!

We are planning a little Napa date trip at the end of the week. An excuse for me to dress up and for him to wear his second Mizzen+Main shirt, which by the way is great for travel, because it’s made with wrinkle resistant fabric. Maybe I’ll even make another photo shoot out of it. Don’t tell my Aidan!
