Modenair tunic dress, Asos beaded bag, Britt Netta sandals, Zara statement ring
There has always been something about this soft buttery hue that completely captures me. It feels warm without being loud and cheerful without trying too hard. When I slipped into this buttery yellow tunic dress for golden hour, I couldn’t stop watching the fabric catch the light. Every movement shimmered. Instead of feeling like “yellow,” it almost looked like sunlight itself. It reminded me why I’ve loved this color for so many years.
Whenever I wear yellow, I inevitably hear someone say: “I love it on you… but I just can’t wear yellow.” My answer is always the same. Who said you have to? One of the biggest misconceptions about color is that embracing it means committing head-to-toe. But sometimes the smallest hint is all it takes. A buttery handbag, s pair of satin heels, some soft gold jewelry. My favorite current trend, a silk scarf tied around your handbag. Even a swipe of buttery nail polish.
Those little touches brighten an outfit in the same way fresh flowers brighten a room. They’re subtle, joyful, and somehow make everything around them feel a little happier. That’s exactly why I wanted this edit to include everything from dresses (love this one!) and separates to shoes, handbags, jewelry, and the sweetest little accessories. Whether you’re ready for a monochromatic moment or simply want to dip your toe into the trend, there’s a way to make butter work for your own wardrobe. To me, butter yellow isn’t really about following a trend. It’s about wearing something that feels optimistic. Sometimes that’s all an outfit needs. Just a dash of butter.
Another soft color trend I’m loving currently is Ballet Pink – find it HERE.
