SHOP THIS LEOPARD PRINT SPRING LOOK:
There have been a few trends this winter that grabbed hold of me in a BIG way. Leopard was by far the winner and I was lamenting having to give it a rest, as the spring months approached, and I was looking through the ‘keep’ and ‘store’ piles in my closet.
I’ve really only worn leopard print in the fall and winter in the past years (last seen here) and never really thought of it much as little white dresses would start appearing in my closet in March. But this year, perhaps because of its huge popularity or possibly because of splurging on a few expensive leopard print investment pieces, I wanted to try to carry these over through spring. And thus, my dress up time began!
And what do you know, I was able to quickly style countless options while prancing in front of my bedroom mirror….at 11 o’clock at night. (typical). This peach dress caught my eye first and I love the contrast of the strong vibe of the leopard print against the ultra-feminine peach hue. This same combo totally works with mint, periwinkle and lilac giving the overall look a whimsical feel.
PASTELS + LEOPARD PRINT:
If you are not a big pastel girl try mixing your favorite little white dress under a leopard blazer or adding a silk leopard scarf to your bag or wrapped around your pony tail, for an edgy touch.
Denim shorts with a simple white tank also look great mixed with leopard for spring. Style with high heeled booties for a warm night out. The possibilities of styling leopard print are vast and if you play around with your favorite pieces long enough, you can always find new way to mix them with your seasonal favorites. And who doesn’t love some good dress up time?
