Transitional Fall Styling

As the seasons change, the first thing I do is start moving my summer pieces out of the main closet and bringing in my fall and winter favorites. All the raffia and blush feathers will have to have a seat until spring. It makes me a little sad at first, as this means truly saying goodbye to summer’s warm evenings and lack of layers, strolls with my pup Winnie at 8pm, with the sun lazily setting. But inevitably, as I get to the end of the item swap, I get a surge of excitement. As if I was just given a whole new wardrobe and a chance for some fresh new styling ideas. This dress in particular gave me some great joy to style, because you can take it so easily from a warm weather evening look to a true fall vibe, by just adding a few accessories like brown booties and a chunky dark necklace. This one from Etsy, is under $30. I didn’t want to cover up these sweet bows, but you can take it further into fall, with a adding a chic blazer, like this one, over the shoulders and eventually of course a coat. (loving this cozy sweater coat option) But I’m not ready for that level of cold yet! Rounding up lots of transitional options below, which you can style year round but yield them selves so perfectly for fall styling.
