Napa Valley Travel Guide – Yountville

I’ve worked in the wine industry for over 10 years in conjunction with blogging, so when my PR management boss girl Katie Cramer, the owner of Lola & Ivy told the whole team our yearly client trip would be to Yountville I shrieked with excitement! I live about 2 hours away from the Napa valley, and Yountville (part of the Napa Valley) is hands down my favorite chic little town. It’s like the set of Gilmore Girls, with sky high property values and Michelin star restaurants.

HOTEL YOUNTVILLE  All 20+ of us stayed in the gorgeous Hotel Yountville. I cannot recommend it enough, if you are planning a trip! It offers the most stunning cozy and chic rooms and is nestled just a few minutes away by foot from restaurants and shops. The whole town is very sleepy so no matter where you stay it is a quiet and relaxing time.

My room had the most stunning vaulted ceilings and a gigantic tub, which I made sure to use every night of our stay. The hotel is spread out a bit and offers either first floor walkup rooms or second floor rooms to which you can take the stairs. Note, there are no elevators. The staff is of course happy to bring all luggage up those stairs, which was helpful for this major overpacker!

ROUND POND ESTATE WINERY – If you want to wine taste with a view, look no further. This multi generation family owned winery is truly breathtaking. They also serve up a mean charcuterie board, that had me going back to refill 4 times. They also offer olive oil tastings with pressed on property olive oil, which is a nice break in your day if you’re visiting multiple wineries.

PARADUXX – Another beautiful winery, with much room to roam. This would be a great option on a warm spring or summer day when you can really enjoy the outdoor seating area. We enjoyed a tasting paired with bites of cheese followed by some charcuterie. (boy am I glad charcuterie is on trend right now!)

BOUCHON BAKERY – I put this chic pit stop on this list because it’s a perfect quick early pop in, as you start your day. It is not a sit-down breakfast but trust me this famous Thomas Keller bakery is worth the hype. Get the ham and cheese croissant, and don’t forget to ask for it to be warmed up!

BARDESSONO – A sister property to the Hotel Yountville, the spa here is absolutely amazing. They have also just added some majorly epic villas to the property which would be perfect for a larger group stay.

REDD WOOD – We had our last dinner of the trip here and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten this much. The wine menu is great, and the food was amazing. All the good upscale pizza, pasta and their salads were beyond!

RH YOUNTVILLE – If you’re looking for insta worthy lunch, just pop 6725 into your Waze app and head on over! This Restoration Hardware restaurant has live olive trees inside the grand dining room, filled with enormous crystal chandeliers. It is in a word, EPIC. There is also a wine cave next door where you can do a wine tasting.

COQUETA NAPA VALLEY – A sister restaurant to the San Francisco location, I knew they would have the prettiest cocktails here and I was not wrong! The mood here is trendy but cozy and the food was SO so good. Spanish style with the freshest ingredients, I loved everything! This is a perfect spot for a date night.

BOUCHON BISTRO – This is probably my favorite restaurant in Yountville and I’ve spent multiple special occasions here, including my Birthday last year. It’s definitely on the upscale side so save it for when you want to splurge on some good wine and do a true night out on the town. Maybe the last night of a special trip. The aforementioned Bouchon bakery is right next door.
