HOW TO STYLE A STATEMENT PIECE 5 WAYS

There are certain pieces that just bring you joy the second you lay your eye on them and this epic jacket cape was just that for me! When Blair Eadie announced that this will indeed be her last collection in collaboration with Halogen, a Nordstrom brand, I have to admit I got a little sad. I have purchased so many special and unique pieces from these collections over the last two years and it’s definitely a bummer to see this collaboration coming to an end. But there was some major goodness coming with this newest final collection and I was all here for it. Enter this epic magenta cape jacket! I am actually typically not the biggest fan of this loud hue, but this piece was made to be bold in every way possible, from the statement gold buttons to the amazing tailoring, to this bright happy color. I have to say, the $199 price point actually surprised me, for the level of tailoring and quality the piece has. So, take my word for it, this is a great quality piece you can have in your closet for years to come. With all that being said, I think a lot of you might be apprehensive when it comes to how to style statement pieces like this and want to automatically pair it with denim and a simple top as a go-to style. To this I say NOPE! I feel that this piece is actually super versatile and that’s why I had to choose it for today’s Friday Five.
