Fall is here, and with it the fall wedding season! Eric and I got married in October and are about to celebrate our 10-year anniversary!! Still can’t believe that! I’ve been getting lots of request from you guys for a wedding guest dress round up post, so we took the opportunity during our recent trip to Palm Springs to pop over to our favorite hotel, Parker Palm Springs and snap a few pics. This olive cape back dress is such a stand out for me! Its silhouette could not be more flattering on virtually any body type, and I love the darker moody hues for fall. I love pairing olive hues with gold accessories, and never go minimal for a wedding guest look. I remember being so appreciative of the guests who really dressed up and were a little more ‘extra’ at our own wedding. Here are more of my favorites in the cape back style.
Fall always makes me reach for marigold and warm neutral shades and these hues are always a great option for a fall wedding. They are still neutral enough to fit in with any color scheme the wedding may have, but will at the same time make you totally stand out. Loving the finds below! What’s a black tie wedding guest option without some sparkle? I so wish that every wedding I get to attend would be black tie. Any excuse to get dressed to the nines! I swoon over these softer shades for fall, but also love the more glam darker sparkle, which always goes a long way as the temps begin to cool for those night time fall weddings. To break it down simply, the best way to style a wedding guest look for fall is to keep two rules in mind. Go darker on the dress and keep the print a bit more muted.
