As the holiday season begins, my favorite part without a doubt, is all the decorating! Eric is the chef in the family since the only thing I make in the kitchen is a mess, so I get the job of putting together a table scape when we host a dinner party. Fine by me! I wanted to show you an easy glam table scape which you can seamlessly take from Thanksgiving right into Christmas. I LOVE scouring my favorite store sites for décor so keep scrolling for lots of options for everything from glam coasters to candles and cake stands you can incorporate into your holiday table décor.

I wanted to go with a neutral color pallet for this with pops of natural greenery to break up all the gold. I wanted this gorgeous MacKenzie-Childs cake stand to be the main focus, with the rhinestone pumpkins as the anchors. If you missed my tutorial on how to make these, you can read that post HERE. Aside from the cake topper I have this platter and a whole lot of other pieces from the parchment check collection. These will be pieces we have forever. I love how classic this design is. I’m also all about mixing high and low for everything from fashion to décor. I invest in one or two pricier pieces and find pretty bargains for the rest, which I typically switch out from season to season.

To put together a layered table scape like this I think of it just like that. A layered look that you start from the bottom and build on. First the table runner, followed by the olive branches. (These may have come from my neighbor’s front yard, shh don’t tell them!) I recommend cutting any kind of branches into smaller more workable size so you don’t have random pieces sticking out, going in the wrong direction. After you have your branches down, simply place your pumpkins and platters, cake stands etc. over the parts where the branches end to cover any of the not so pretty parts. This will give your table scape a seamless look at any angle. The rest is easy! Just add your place settings and you’re ready to enjoy the party! As I mentioned before, this table scape is perfect to transition into Christmas. Swap out your pumpkins for glittery gingerbread houses, ornament bowls and a sequin table runner and you’re set. Look out for a post on that very soon and hope you guys have the best holiday season!
