Living in Northern California, it’s pretty amazing how many beautiful places we can miss. Especially while being less than an hour away from them. So, it is pretty embarrassing that one of those magical places is apparently 10 minutes away my house and has been for 8 years. The Historical Filoli Gardens. Though I’ve heard about this whimsical place over the years, I’ve never made time to visit. I’m thoroughly kicking myself and hoping to make up for lost time. Expect to see lots of my favorite moments at Filoli here in the coming weeks and months. This amazing hydrangea ‘forest’ is just one of the countless spots I wanted to just stare at for hours and somehow transport to my backyard.
One of the reasons I am beyond excited to ‘discover’ this place is that I am officially going nuts being at home 24/7. Also, I have been dying to be able to work pretty much anywhere else. Even in my car…..parked in my driveway. Sorry kiddos, mama needed some quiet time! I’m sure you can relate. Therefore, I’ve decided to buy a year pass. I’m very much looking forward to charging up my laptop and calling the endless beautiful nooks around the gardens my new office space. I think all of us are getting to a point where finding some new inspiration and new ways of motivate ourselves is essential and for me, working in a beautiful space fuels my creativity. If you’re the same, try finding little gems like this! Even if it’s just a random little bench in your neighborhood with a patch of roses. I bet it will bring you joy!
Onto the fashion part of this post. Yes, I absolutely ordered this beautiful blue jumpsuit to shoot it among these hydrangeas. I’m a big fan of Faithful The Brand and was so excited to find that they have several pieces in this beautiful blue floral print. I’m usually not a bright color person, but the mix of this fabric with the matching belt had me at hello. I wanted to show more favorite blues, as this is quickly becoming my favorite hue for summer.
