I’ve been a devoted SkinCeuticals girl for the past two years, so when I learned of their Custom D.O.S.E, (which stands for Diagnostic Optimization Serum Experience) I was beyond excited to try it for myself. (there are 48 possible combinations) The idea of incorporating all the best SkinCeuticals products for my exact needs was beyond thrilling, so off I went to the Center for Facial and Body Rejuvenation, in Saratoga, California to get D.O.S.E’d!
As I entered the bright white space, with wall to wall SkinCeuticals, it felt like I was entering skincare heaven. Mama was home! I started out by filling out a quick questionnaire, outlining my skincare concerns which I then discussed with my aesthetician. She and I came up with the best plan of action to help prep my skin for the Custom D.O.S.E. It would include a round of Microdermabrasion and an Express Chemical Peel. (My biggest concerns were skin discoloration, fine lines and dry skin). Before getting started I would also get the SkinCeuticals Skin Scope analysis, which let me tell ya, was a major eye opener and something I recommend you all do! The inside of the machine is a spherical 180-degree mirror which lets you see your face up close and personal from every angle. A UV light is turned on, showing the sub-surface of your skin, illuminating any sun damage, dark spots, basically any problem areas. (mind blown!) It gave me such an in-depth look into what I truly needed to focus on. Hello sun damage I didn’t even know I had!
After my procedures it was time to make the good stuff! Dr.Cheng met me in the Custom D.O.S.E room and once again, along with my aesthetician, went through what my skin’s needs were. I think this is what makes the Custom D.O.S.E head and shoulders above any other skincare. Beyond the amazing ingredients, where else have you ever been able to receive such precise diagnosis for your individual skincare needs? We spend so much money and time trying to perfect our skincare routines, the ability of taking the guess work out of it is just a no brainer for me.
