When I invest in a designer piece, like this embroidered dress from Needle & Thread (last styled here), I try to find creative ways to style it in as many ways as possible. In this case, it’s pairing it under a tulle skirt, giving the dress the appearance of being a top. It’s such a simple style trick that you can do with virtually any fitted dress and a great way to extend the life of your favorite items. I’ve recently also paired it with a long black skirt for a chic glam look and have even worn it over some distressed denim to go in a casual direction. I think with fashion, you always have to be willing to experiment and go out on a limb. So looks with fall a little flat and some will dazzle, but all of them should be fun! After all, isn’t that the point of fashion?
