There are certain trends I used to think I’d never get behind and snake print was very high on that list……until this season that is. I used to think of this print as ‘cheap’ and just not for me, but I guess I have just seen enough epic examples lately, of some snake print done so right, to change my mind! Hey, I’m a woman Afterall and that’s what we do!
So, now that I’m on board I wanted to share some ways I will be incorporating this trend into my fall wardrobe. As with leopard print, I very much subscribe to the less is more approach. My main rule is ‘don’t double up’. Though it can be done right, I have seldomly seen someone wear multiple snake print pieces together and thought of it as a chic look. This is where you start running the danger of looking like you’re in an 80’s music video, which let’s face it was not our best fashion era. So, if you’re opting for a snake print dress, don’t also style your favorite snake print booties with it, and visa versa. Give each piece its own moment!

My favorite thing to do with a trend like this is to invest in 3 key pieces which I know I will be able to rotate into my wardrobe all season long. This moto jacket was absolutely a winner, as soon as I put it on. Dress it up with a slip dress or dress it down like here with some denim and booties. It’s just an instant staple! And I absolutely love the quality of this particular one, (also comes in brown!) SO overdelivers for the price point!
Another piece I bought was a snake print slip dress. (coming to the blog soon!) A satin slip dress has been one of my favorite trends this season because of its versatility and ease. I’ll be styling mine with some sneakers for a comfy chic look as well as stilettos! I also love pairing sleeveless dresses with a cropped sweater, giving the piece an illusion of it being a skirt. All about making one piece go a long way!
Third, are some good booties! You just HAVE to get one pair of snake print shoes for fall and for me booties are the way to go! So many amazing options and an instant way to take a boring outfit up a notch! Sharing my favorites below with some other more daring styles. I honestly don’t know if I could commit to a tall pair of snake print boots, but I do absolutely love the below!
Lastly, while I mostly think of snake print as a grey hue, I have been loving it in the warmer shades as well. And what an easy way to incorporate these colors in with all your favorite fall browns and earth tones! Here are some favorites I’m eyeing.
