Fall vibes are in the air, and I’ve got one name on my mind. Ted Baker. I’ve always been a fan of the brand, but a recent shopping adventure has gotten me hooked and swooning over literally every single piece in this feminine yet sharp and modern line.
I was invited to check out the new Ted Baker location in San Francisco, which was opening the very day I was to visit. In all its freshly painted glory, the store is the new gem of the Westfield San Francisco Centre. As I walked through the doors I felt giddy. Everything was so gorgeous and each detail, from the custom made wallpaper, reflecting the “PainTED Ladies meets Notting Hill” theme, to the small touches like color coded accessory nooks hidden among the racks, made me feel like I HAD to see every inch of it.
I floated through each rack like a kid in a candy store. Literally every piece (I swear I’m not exaggerating!) was calling my name. I’ve known this brand for so long but was now quickly realizing that upon much closer inspection, it was my fashion spirit animal. The feminine touches mixed with embellishments and modern lines, flowed perfectly from one piece to the next, making me able to mix and match so many items together. I added more and more pieces to my overflowing fitting room rack. If I had been accidentally locked in the store overnight, I can tell you with 100% certainty that I would have tried on every single item in there.
Here are two things that Ted does damn well, and in my opinion they are do or die. 1) The fit – each item I put on, be it a dress or this amazing short coat, fit to perfection as if it had been tailored for me. Lets face it, when an item fits you perfectly, it will automatically look like a million bucks! 2) The quality – I think these photos actually do fairly good justice at showcasing the quality of the pieces I chose, but of course you have to feel them and were them to truly appreciate it. My biggest take away from this brand is that for the price you truly get even more than what you pay for.
I know this is sounding very fan girl, but I have to share something here. As a blogger, I am in a very privileged and lucky position to constantly discover and work with many brands. Some that I have known for years and some that I have never heard of before. So it is easy to become somewhat discensitized about receiving new pieces at your door step and styling them. (although I do still get so excited to open any new goody that my tired UPS man plants into my eager hands virtually daily) So when I see something in front of me that stops me in my tracks and makes me go “whoa!”, I feel like I HAVE to share. And this is exactly how I feel about Ted. WHOA.
As I mentioned, I spent a very long chunk of time trying on everything from floral dresses to jackets and denim, before settling on some very versatile pieces that I knew I would wear for many seasons to come. Aside from the items I’ve styled here, I also got this leather jacket, which I have been wearing non stop. I’m trying to steer away from buying things that I love in the moment, but won’t wear in the long term, and I think investing in solid, well made outerwear and classics with a twist is where my style head is at when I plan my fall season shopping. I know I’ll wear this fun yet classic sweater for years to come! I’ve rounded up all my favorite pieces, many of which I’m sure you’ll see me styling here soon!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
