I have been a fan of Shabby Apple for a very long time, so when they reached out for a collaboration, I was thrilled. My favorite thing about this creative company and what sets them apart is how creative all of their photo shoots are. Each item, be it a top a dress or a fabulous full length skirt is shot in an amazing location, like a Moroccan adventure backdrop or a wall of roses. One of my recent favorites was a cool 50’s boat set. So when it came to brainstorming my own Shabby shoot, I knew I just had to do something extra fun. Like go on a Safari! Luckily, there is one right outside of San Francisco, and it just so happens to be right next door to my father in law’s house. Safari West is a private zoo where you can take a Safari style tour, feed leaves to a family of giraffes, play favorites with a flamboyance of flamingos, and get up close and personal with a couple of rhinos. My hubby and I had a blast taking these photos while our daughter Grace was mesmerized by the lemur colony a few feet away.
